BHEL Recruitment 2012 for Engineers Trainee


The full form of BHEL is Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited. It was formed in 1953 by the Government of India as the India’s ninth largest public sector undertaking. It was given the title of Navratnas. Its head quarter is at New Delhi. The 12th largest power equipment manufacturer in the world is BHEL. Around 50000 employees are working under BHEL. It has 11 manufacturing units.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited is looking for talented and dedicated professionals. Interested and eligible candidates who are citizens of India can grab this chance by applying ONLINE from 4th January 2012 to 28th January 2012. The candidates have to give the Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering ( GATE) which is scheduled on 12th February 2012. Selection of the candidates will be based on GATE 2012 score and performance in interview. Selected candidates will have to go through Medical Examination. There is a training period of 1 year during which candidates will get stipend of Rs.20600/-.

800 posts are offered for Engineers Trainee out of which 550 posts are for Mechanical, 175 posts are for Electrical and 75 posts are for Electronics discipline under the pay scale of Rs.24900-50500/-. Candidates for these posts should have a Graduate Degree in Engineering/ Technology/ or five years integrate Master’s Degree or Dual Degree programme in Engineering or Technology in the discipline of Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics Engineering.
For Graduates, maximum age limit is 27 years while for Post Graduates, candidates age should not be more than 29 years.
