Tyched Web Services Launches Social Discovery Platform Tyche'd


Mumbai: Mumbai-based customer centric startup, Tyched Web Services, has launched its social discovery platform, Tyche’d, which would allow users to share their purchase intents with their friends, discover people from their own social network and mutual contacts who want to buy similar products and services. The platform, at present focuses on travel, gadgets, real estate, and automobiles.

The public launch of Tyche’d, which was in a closed Beta mode, would allow the users to create and join open groups buys, which are visible to all users from their location. It would also provide the consumers with more buyers in order to aggregate demand from their social circle, which would enable self service group buys without depending on deal enablers or intermediaries. It makes the users’ social wishlist come true with and let them buy what they want, with whom they want and a price negotiated by them.


Co-founded by Pravin Jadhav and Kulin Shah, Tyche’d has local information for over 200 cities, across 12 countries, which would enable the users to see contextual experience while building their wishlists.


With the users spending more time on social networks, social discovery platforms are strong contenders to search. According to Pravin Jadhav, Co-Founder, Tyche’d, they are building social graphs for purchase intents and user interests in the local context. Tyche’d connects prospective buyer with more buyers thereby shifting the power of negotiations to consumers. Also, it replicates the offline consumer behavior in the online world.


Prior to founding Tyche’d, Jadhav was the Head – Product & Marketing at Ohana Media, the Head at Foostor, Senior Product Manager – Mobile Services at Rediff.com, and an Associate at Integreon. He has done his Post Graduation from SIES College of Management Studies and holds a degree in BE, Mechanical, from Sardar Patel College of Engineering.
